snore but its more prevalent in men, especially if you are overweight and by and large it gets worse as we get older as well.
We all know couples that sleep in different beds and even bedrooms because of a
partner snoring. My wife reckons she's partially deaf in one ear due to my snoring!

Change your sleeping position
Normally snoring is caused when the tongue and throat rub and produces sound. If
you have the habit of lying on your back this will make your snoring problem worse and by simply lying on your side you will reduce the

reduce snoring.
Drop a few lbs (or
stone)
Reduce your weight to get relief from snoring. Snoring normally happens in people
who are over weight. If you try to reduce 10 % of your weight your snoring problem can in many cases be significantly reduced or even stopped.
So itβs worth making the effort to loose weight both from a snoring and an overall health point of view.
Sleeping Pills and
Alcohol
All sedatives do not help snoring, however you may not be able to do anything about
that. What you can do though is reduce your alcohol intake, as alcohol also acts as a sedative and we all know for even light snorers having a
few drinks always makes the snoring worse.
Nasal Problems
If you have nasal problems or blockages then there's every chance of greater
snoring issues - try taking steam before you go to bed. This will help you to reduce the nasal problems and may very well be a good aid to
getting some restful sleep.

Reduce your intake of sweets or soft drinks before going to bed as these may well
cause slight dehydration. Dehydration will force your body to breathe through your mouth which in turn will mean your nasal path is not as

carbohydrate food at nights. Caffeine products may disturb our sleeping and may cause snoring so is best avoided that's why so many people

help you to reduce snoring. You should try to slow down the speed and volume of your breath. This will help your snoring condition if you get

Exercising can help. As we get older our bodies lacks flexibility and we tend to
put on (and find it harder to loose) weight. You may not engage in sufficient physical activities and our lifestyles these days are more
sedentary. Stretching exercises or walking will help you to keep the body flexible. This in turn will help in regulating your breathing and
may well offer some relief from snoring.
Quit Smoking
If you are a smoker or even if you are exposed to smoke for long time periods, then
you are far more likely to suffer with snoring. Naturally snoring is all about breathing (of lack of it) and for most smokers this is where
there are problems in fact. Heavy smokers will have more snoring and other sleeping troubles than a non smoker so its simple you should stop
